I have gotten an exciting opportunity to serve God this summer. I am doing summer missions with Child Evangelism Fellowship! CEF is a global organization ministering to kids in over 185 nations around the world, and they have an office right here in Denver.
The summer program is Christian Youth In Action (CYIA), which trains middle school, high school and college students how to reach children with the gospel. We spent two weeks in training, June 7-20. Now we are doing two weeks of ministry, going into many different communities!
The two ministry weeks take me all across the six-county Denver area. I am teaching 5-Day Clubs—which are like a VBS “on the road”—as part of a team. Each 5-Day Club is a 90-minute program for kids with high energy games, a Bible lesson that shares the gospel, songs, Scripture memory, and a missions story. Kids get to hear the gospel, have a great time, and just be in a positive environment. We also give each child an opportunity to respond personally to the gospel teaching!
5-Day Clubs take place anywhere that children gather: public parks, community centers, multi-housing complexes, mobile home parks, and more. There are many children and families who would come to a 5-Day Club in the public park, even if they do not go to church anywhere. Pray that we can be effective in reaching those who need Christ!
When Jesus called his disciples, this is the very first command he gave them: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt 4:19). He wanted them to stop getting fish and to start getting people! Leading others to Jesus is what it means to be a disciple. That is what this summer is all about.
I need to raise $650 for the entire four weeks of ministry. Would you prayerfully consider supporting me? You can make a secure online donation by credit/debit card or PayPal:
You can also partner in prayer. Pray for me and my teammates, and pray for all of the children who attend the 5-Day Clubs! If you would like one of my prayer bookmarks, please contact the CEF office. Thank you for being a part of my summer!

Margaret Stretcher - 2014 Summer Intern
I hope this letter finds you well! I have been finishing a busy school year. It was my senior year so I am officially done with high school. Hooray! Soon I will be headed off to college in Pennsylvania.
Last summer I was blessed to be in Christian Youth in Action (CYIA), a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). Laura and I were able to reach over 400 kids with the gospel in Colorado. More than 90 kids accepted Christ! It was amazing! It was the most weeks we had ever taught: seven full weeks. It was intense, but well worth it. This summer I am participating in CYIA again (my sixth year!) and I am very excited!
This year I have been given the opportunity to be an intern for the Greater Denver chapter of CEF. It is a 12-week internship from May 19 to August 8. Throughout this internship I would be helping train and lead the teenagers, doing office work, and working in the field through 5-Day Clubs.
There are three main goals in these outreaches: (1) To evangelize boys and girls with the gospel of Christ, (2) To disciple them through God’s Word, and (3) To establish them in local Bible-believing churches. We teach the kids songs, games, Bible verses, missionary stories, and Bible lessons. This work takes a lot of dedication and time to learn all of the material and then present it enthusiastically to the children. It is also lots of fun which is an excellent bonus!
None of this work would be possible without support from family and friends. The support needed for the internship is $2,500. If you can support me financially, I would be extremely grateful! You can make a secure online donation by credit/debit card or PayPal:
I will also need many prayers! If you would like one of my prayer bookmarks, please contact the CEF office. This CEF ministry is exceedingly fruitful; consequently, I am under constant spiritual attack. Please pray for strength (physical and spiritual), dedicated workers, good weather and travel conditions, and above all else pray for the children. Pray that they would attend clubs and that their minds would be completely open to the truth of God’s Word.
I am so excited about these chances to serve and to minister. I’m seeking your support and prayers for this mission opportunity. Thank you so much!

I have gotten an exciting opportunity to serve God this summer. I will be doing summer missions training with Child Evangelism Fellowship! CEF is a global organization ministering to kids in over 185 nations around the world, and they have an office right here in Colorado.
The training is Christian Youth In Action (CYIA), which equips middle school, high school and college students for reaching children with the gospel. The training will be for two weeks, June 7-20, at Front Range Christian School in Littleton, Colorado.
My teammates and I will be learning how to teach children using the 5-Day Club outreach, which is like a VBS “on the road.” 5-Day Club is a 90-minute program for kids each day with high energy games, a Bible lesson that shares the gospel, songs, Scripture memory, and a missions story. Kids get to hear the gospel, have a great time, and just be in a positive environment. We also give each child an opportunity to respond personally to the gospel teaching!
During the first week of training I will work on learning all of the skills, concepts, stories, and lessons that we will be sharing. Then during the second week I will get to go out as part of a team and teach a 5-Day Club each day. Pray that we can be effective in reaching children who need Christ!
When Jesus called his disciples, this is the very first command he gave them: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt 4:19). I look forward to using what I learn at CYIA training in many other ways!

Happy Spring! I hope everything is well with you and your family! I am writing to you to announce my mission possibilities this summer. I have a passion to serve God and that has led me to these two wonderful opportunities. I am completing my junior year in high school. I am 16-years-old and counting! And I hope to answer what the Lord is calling me to do.
The first mission I would like to do this summer is in partnership with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). CEF is a global organization ministering to kids in over 185 nations around the world. And they have an office right here in Denver! The training is with Christian Youth In Action (CYIA), which trains middle school, high school and college students how to reach children with the gospel. My team and I will be training for two weeks, June 7-20, and then doing two weeks of ministering in different communities. During the two weeks of ministering I will be doing 5-Day Clubs, which are like a VBS “on the road.” Each club is a 90-minute program that consists of high energy games, a Bible lesson, songs, Scripture memory, and a missions story.
My second opportunity this summer is to go to Eleuthera, Bahamas with Trinity Church! July 25-August 4 we will travel down there and we will be staying at Windermere High School on Governor’s Harbor. While on the Island my team and I will be doing a construction project for the school, a roofing project on a local church, and a VBS for the kids in a neighboring settlement. I went on this mission trip last year and it was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve had! I would love the chance to go again!
The reason these trips appeal to me is because of the opportunity to minister to children. They are the minds of tomorrow and it would be a once in a life time experience to help be a part of their decision to follow Jesus. Psalm 78:4-8 says: “We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders. For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them-even the children not yet born-and they will in turn teach your own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. Then they will not be like their ancestors-stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.” So if I can make a difference in these children’s lives, it would be a tremendous honor.
First and foremost I would like to ask for your prayer support. Please pray for me, my teammates, and the people we will be working with. And please pray that God will use me to my full potential. In addition to your prayers I am also in need of financial support. The CEF opportunity costs $650 and the Eleuthera mission costs $1,500. I ask you to pray about partnering with me and being a part of my missions this summer.
If you do choose to support me financially there are couple ways to do it: (1) If you want to give to the CEF mission, you can make an online donation by credit/debit card or PayPal:
(2) If you choose to donate to the Eleuthera mission you can do so with cash or a check. Please make checks payable to Trinity Church.
You can partner with me in prayer. CEF has produced prayer bookmarks to help people remember to pray! If you would like one of my bookmarks, please contact the CEF office. Thank you for being a part of my summer!

Then July 14-26, I am joining over 150 other CEF volunteers from across the country to go to Portland, Oregon, for Good News Across America. We will be partnering with 30 churches in Portland to help them do outreach with children and families in their community. The goal is that, as a result, each church will adopt an elementary school in the fall for an ongoing Good News Club outreach. It will be a short-term mission trip with long-term impact!

You can also partner with me in prayer. Pray for the two weeks of training and the two weeks of ministry! If you would like one of my prayer bookmarks, please contact the CEF office. Thank you for being a part of my summer!

I have gotten an exciting opportunity to serve God this summer. I will be doing summer missions with Child Evangelism Fellowship! CEF is a global organization ministering to kids in over 185 nations around the world, and they have an office right here in Denver.
The summer program is Christian Youth In Action (CYIA), which trains middle school, high school and college students how to reach children with the gospel. We will be in training for two weeks, June 7-20. Then we will do two weeks of ministry, going into many different communities!
The two ministry weeks will take me all across the six-county Denver area. I will be teaching 5-Day Clubs—which are like a VBS “on the road”—as part of a team. Each 5-Day Club is a 90-minute program for kids with high energy games, a Bible lesson that shares the gospel, songs, Scripture memory, and a missions story.

I look forward to using what I learn at CYIA training in many other ways!
